Sometimes pain blinds us. Don't agree?
Read forward.
Think about, say Burj Khalifa and you are standing near it and you take a picture. When you look at the picture you first notice how you look and then the building right? It's true that it's the biggest building in this entire world, but our focus first reaches ourselves.
In the same way, when we undergo pain, and sometimes of high intensity, we become stuck and start thinking of all the negative things happening to our lives which leaves us in a much more vulnerable situation, preventing us from being thankful and trusting God's plans. Our focus complete gets held on to what we are going through at that point of time.
The point is to understand deep inside God has prepared everything we need in a particular situation even before we ever took the first step. Let's think of a situation where someone is coming to tell you a few things that we never wanted to hear about our dear one. The moment they tell that, we turn to our DEFENSE MODE right?
Why does that happen?
Because we love and trust them. Then when the same thing happens to our lives, with our relationship with God, why do we tend to believe the Devil's lie over God's promises?
Why do we so easily choose to trust the devil's words and to start doubting?
Does that mean we don't love and trust God as we should?
Shouldn't we start asking God to help us ,to love and trust Him the way He does?
When we began to love Him the way and to the extent we should, we understand what His heart desires. There wouldn't be another day that would pass by, asking God, WHY ME?
Because that's the level of faith we have in Him.
Psalms 23 : 1
The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.
Yes He meets our needs, even before we are in need.
But since we focus on pain many at times ,we fail to see the work and provision of God.
Hebrews 12:11
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. (ESV)
Sometimes, God let's pain to our lives to discipline us.
Later one day, when we look back, we will certainly realize the hand of God in every situation we have ever been through.
It's true that it's hard, but those are the opportunities God gives us to practice our faith.
